The Complete Deuces Wild Strategy Guide at 9700x Malaysia
If you've ever played a casual game of poker with friends at a kopitiam or during a family gathering over the festive season, you already have enough of a foundation to enjoy Deuces Wild at 9700x. But make no mistake — Deuces Wild is far more than standard poker with a few Wild cards thrown in. Having four Wilds in the deck reshapes the entire hand-ranking hierarchy and calls for a completely different strategic approach from regular poker.
The first thing new Deuces Wild players at 9700x need to understand is that One Pair and Two Pair do not pay in this variant. This is a trade-off built into the game design to account for the four Wilds in the deck — the minimum paying hand is Three of a Kind and above. While this may seem like a stricter requirement, there's no need to worry — with four Wilds in play, the odds of landing Three of a Kind or better are actually far higher than you might expect.
The most important strategy in Deuces Wild at 9700x is knowing how to make the most of any Deuces (2s) in your hand. If you're dealt two or more Deuces in your opening hand, you're already in a very strong position. Two Deuces, for example, only require you to match one more card value to complete a Four of a Kind — or match the suit for a Straight Flush or Five of a Kind. Experienced 9700x players know that when two or more Deuces are in hand, you hold all of them and discard every other card that doesn't form a strong combination.
One common mistake Malaysian players make when first trying Deuces Wild at 9700x is playing too conservatively with their current hand — they tend to hold all their cards when they have a single Deuce, even if the overall combination is weak. The smarter approach is to assess the full hand: if you have one Deuce and four other cards that don't form any meaningful combination, discard all four non-Deuce cards and start fresh with just the Deuce. Your chances of building a strong hand from a single Wild are better than defending a hand that is fundamentally weak.
For Malaysian players who enjoy activities that demand focus — whether it's chess, watching the Thomas Cup badminton finals, or analysing EPL football statistics — Deuces Wild at 9700x offers an intellectual satisfaction that's rarely found in other casino games. Every hand is a small puzzle that challenges you to make the best decision with the information available. And unlike slots, which rely entirely on luck, every correct decision in Deuces Wild directly improves your long-term returns at 9700x.

Key Tip: Never Hold a Low Pair in Deuces Wild
This is the biggest difference between Deuces Wild and standard poker at 9700x. In regular poker, you would hold a pair — say, a pair of Aces. In Deuces Wild, pairs don't pay, so if you have a pair with no Deuces and no prospect of a stronger hand, it's better to discard both and start over. This is the opposite of standard poker instinct, and it's exactly why Deuces Wild players at 9700x need to retrain the way they think.
Tip: Practise with Free Demo Mode at 9700x Before Playing for Real Money
9700x offers a free demo mode for Deuces Wild. Make the most of it — playing at least 200 to 300 hands in demo mode will get you comfortable with the optimal strategy chart. Once the right decisions come naturally without needing to consult the chart, you'll be ready to play with real money and fully capitalise on the 100.76% RTP that 9700x provides.
Tip: Always Bet Max for the Natural Royal Flush
The Natural Royal Flush payout in Deuces Wild at 9700x is 800:1 — but only when you play at max bet (5 coins, or as required by the table). Playing at a lower bet drops the Natural Royal Flush payout to 250:1, which significantly reduces the overall RTP. Savvy 9700x players generally prefer playing one or two hands at max bet rather than multiple hands at half stakes.
